In 1983 the World Trade and Convention Centre developed the Ambassador Club as a tool to assist individuals who, beyond the ordinary course of their jobs were considering staging a meeting, convention or event in Halifax. Since 2002 Destination Halifax has continued the Club's mandate of providing exceptional support service for those hosting events.
Over the more than 20 years since the Ambassador Club began, it has assisted more than 200 individuals in successfully hosting their association’s conference or event in Halifax. These individuals represent the length and breadth of Halifax Regional Municipality’s society and every economic sector. They are people just like you who are proud of their city and its institutions and wanted to showcase Halifax to their friends and colleagues from around the world. Tens of thousands have seen Halifax, having both provided to and received benefits from their visit here. The interchange of people and ideas has helped make Halifax what it is today.
