Spirit of Halifax

The Spirit of Halifax award is given to an individual whose outstanding long-term efforts in launching or ensuring the success of a major event, meeting or conference has made a significant impact on the promotion of the Halifax region and the economic growth of its tourism sector.

The inaugural presentation of the Spirit of Halifax award was made on December 7, 2011, to Jean-Paul Deveau, Chair of the Halifax 2011 Canada Games Host Society.
